Welcome Thalia!

The Zhang Lab is delighted to welcome Thalia Avila as a summer student researcher! Originally from Peru, Thalia is currently a Biology major at the University of Oklahoma with a strong interest in cell biology, bioinformatics, and the exciting intersection of science and technology. Her enthusiasm for scientific discovery and eagerness to learn make her a wonderful addition to the lab this summer.

Outside of academics, Thalia enjoys traveling, experiencing new cultures, and trying new things, reflecting the curiosity and adventurous mindset that she brings to research as well. We are excited to have her join the Zhang Lab and look forward to working with her on new scientific experiences and discoveries throughout the summer. Welcome, Thalia!
